The appearance of your eyes can tell a lot about you – bright, sparkling eyes are the epitome of health and can have an uplifting effect and cause lasting, positive first-impressions on anyone you meet. However, drooping upper lids and puffy dark circles beneath your eyes can make you look older than you are, and indicate that you are exhausted. In some cases, these effects can impede your vision.
If the latter sounds like you, consider eyelid rejuvenation surgery to make you feel like brand new, every time you look in the mirror. This safe procedure performed by renowned cosmetic surgeon, Dr Jeremy Hunt, addresses excess fat, muscle and skin from your brow and upper and lower eyelids. Combined with facial rejuvenation such as a facelift or necklift, you will admire your reflection time and time again.
• Heavy brows
• Upper eyelid puffiness
• Sagging skin that creates folds in the upper eyelid and impairs vision
• Dark circles and bags under the eyes
• Removal of excess skin and fine wrinkles that cause droopiness of the lower eyelids
• The shape of the eye
Dr Jeremy Hunt is committed to and capable of making you feel and look beautiful with many different procedures that can be performed on your eyes. See below for a list of cosmetic techniques:
Brow lift: Procedures such as endoscopic brow lift, coronal or open brow lift, hairline lowering brow lift and transpalpebral brow lift all elevate and secure a brow to a higher position. Ageing in the eyes is usually first noticeable when the brow begins to downwards shift and the upper eyelid skin becomes fuller.
Chemical brow lift: This minimally invasive procedure is not as powerful as a surgical brow lift but will allow the brow to rise to a higher position with an injection into the muscle around the eye. This weakens specific portions of the muscle and allows the downward pull on the brow to be relieved.
Upper eyelid skin reduction (upper blepharoplasty): Reduction of excess skin around the eye will unburden the upper eyelid and allow the eye to fully open, giving a more alert, youthful appearance and improve sight.
Lower blepharoplasty: Baggy eyelids, caused by excess fat behind the lower eyelid, can be reduced or relocated to create a more balanced transition between the lower eyelid and cheek.
Transconjunctival blepharoplasty: This procedure performed on the lower eyelid only reduces excess fat below the inner eyelid, and leaves no skin incision or scar. It does not correct excess skin.
Canthopexy/canthoplasty: An almond shape or cat’s eye is achieved with this procedure by altering the position of the bone that is attached to the eyelids, called a canthus bone. The position of they eye can be altered into an appealing shape.
Fullness of the upper and lower eyes leads to wrinkling and sagging, creating the unfavourable ‘bagginess’ appearance. The tendency for this to occur may be hereditary, but does not have to be permanent. Contact Dr Jeremy Hunt now for your eyelid surgery and look forward to a happier, better you!
